This guitar is the close cousin of our Rock model, and is offered for those players who want or require more versatility tone-wise, and a more vintage sound.
We call it the Country model because we feel that it will appeal to that group of players, as well as the player who wants a lower output pickup set, and the choice of either humbucker or single coil output, via our brand of coil splitting. It features the same unique ergonomic body shape, straight string path headstock, and the same outstanding feel and playability of the R model.
Other features of this model include a custom, hand wound set of the low output, vintage voiced Righteous Sound “Brielle” pickups, with their own special woody and clear tone – and which also produce a great Strat-like tone when the single coil mode is selected. Other standard features include individually selected pau ferro fretboard on a maple neck, with extra large frets – which are hand rounded and polished on the fret-ends for a premium playing feel; Hipshot mini locking tuners; choice of either a Wilkinson VS-100 tremolo bridge or Hipshot Fixed Bridge; all chrome hardware; compact alder body with the best ergonomics in the business (in our opinion, of course); Schaller strap locks are pre-installed and included in the price. Paint is an automotive type premium metallic formulation with a choice of three colors unique to this model.
The SB1-C model: offered with pride for your consideration and playing satisfaction at US$2,500, in either tremolo or hardtail configuration and including a custom fit Protec Contego hybrid case.
